CANDY!

What makes a child happy?

For Tate there are many answers to this question and one of those is candy!

Today has been another day from Hell. Tate is really pushing his limits and seeing what he can get away with. I feel like all I do is tell him no and send him to time out. I've never been one for giving spankings and he's already received two today. He keeps saying, "No like spankings." He is very strong willed and will try ANYTHING to get what he wants. It can be very wearing to say the least. I told him we needed to go and he went out to the car. If I'm not right behind him he usually comes back to the front door saying let's go! It took me a couple of minutes to make it and he never came back so I ran to check on him. This is what I found him doing. He knew that there was a bag of jelly beans in the car, and was happy as ever with just his bag of candy and no parental supervision. He managed to make me smile on a day I thought it wasn't possible!

Off The Bottle

I thought this day would never come. The other day I was over at Laurens house and we were talking about getting our 2 year olds off the bottle! She inspired me to go home and try something... So after Tate's nap I got him really excited to go to the store and pick out new cups to drink his milk in. It surprisingly wasn't bad. I just explained that babies drink from bottles and that he isn't a baby anymore. I told him it's time for you drink out of cool big boy cups all the time. He had so much fun picking out the cups he wanted. When it was time to go I said make sure you've looked at all of them and have the ones you really want. He turned around and went back to the cups saying... "just a sec mom" and looked one last time. It was pretty funny. He's really starting to talk and voice his little opinion all the time. I love it!!

Grammys Back

Grammys back from China, and she came bearing gifts. Tate just loves his little china man outfit. He likes to wear his hat with the long braid.

We are glad you made it back. It seemed like you were gone forever. Thanks for the clothes and gifts. I bet the shopping was a blast. We hope we can make it over there one day so we can do a little shopping.

Puppets

I wasn't around much this weekend between my cousins wedding dinner on Friday night, and the wedding events on Saturday. I felt bad leaving my boys so much, but this just goes to show that I have nothing to worry about. I know that everyone feels this way about their own spouse, but I just have to say that I have such a good husband! He is always doing such fun things with our boy, and is creative with entertaining. I tend to get stuck in a rut and do the same old things. I'm so glad that I have him to think of fun new things. When I left on Friday Cole was whispering to Tate that he had a suprise to do with him. When I got home, this is what they had made together! Tate loves Iguanas, so Cole helped him make a Tate puppet, and an Iguana to play with. They would play and Tate would hug the other puppet and then say "I be Tate now." I love you guys!!

Helping Hand

I love to decorate for the seasons and the holidays. It's now September which means that it's time to bring out the Fall decor...

Tate thought the window needed to be open for this process, so he climbed up onto the table and undid the lock. Luckily he can't get the window pulled open yet! (Yes he does have clothes, he's just into taking them off these days!)

Parade

While Cole and I were in Banff we saw this product line in a cute little store... (HERE) We didn't get anything because we have no need right now, but made a note of the web site. I think their little kimonos are darling!

Aint the Fall Great

There is so much good stuff to look forward to this time of the year. The following are a few things that are going to make for a great fall:

1st I'm back in school. I love going to school. (I'm not an English major, so please don't critique the blog.)

2nd I love football season. I'm back on the Cougs band wagon now that they are starting to come around. Too bad we'll only get 6 of the 12 games (yep got the satellite) But hopefully I'll get time to see some games with the season tickets. I need to find someone that wants to come with me, so let me know if there is someone out there that wants. You can't be crazy.
Also the Cowboys are looking pretty promising this year (please no haters). That said they are in a pretty weak division so they should come out on top.

3rd Well I always get excited for new Apple products, because they are the coolest. Plus I don't like having my money all in one place, so I like to let Apple hold on to a big portion of it. New iPods tomorrow: new nano, and full touch screen wifi radio ipod??? Maybe. Hopefully the Nano phone will be out before Christmas so I don't have to spend my whole budget on the iPhone. Finally in October Leopard will arrive and Ill upgrade on day 1 for sure.

4th As I'm sure most are fully aware my 2 favorite shows will be starting this month. The Office on the 27th (picked up season 3 limited edition today) and distant 2nd prison break starts on the 17th. So be sure to set your Tivos so you can tune in.

Final note: These are just a few things to look forward to, of course there will be my favorite holiday, Halloween followed by the close 2nd Christmas. (Thanksgiving is my least favorite holiday, Its just a big head ache.) Although the cowboys play every year on that day, which makes it bearable.

Coles Lab Work at Home

Cole was suppose to go down to the Sports Medicine Lab the other day, but when he showed up no one was there. He grabbed some wraps and tape and brought it home to practice on us rather then the athletes. Sunday morning I was getting my ankle wrapped and Tate walked up and suddenly started complaining of a hurt foot. He wanted his foot wrapped so bad, so Cole wrapped it up just like moms. He didn't do to bad either.

Tate is so funny, he will come in and fake cough and ask for a cough drop or say my teeth hurt and ask for his Shrek medicine. Its times like these that make it to bad that his meds taste so good.

Up The Canyon

This is a picture of Tate and Mason playing together up the canyon during great grandma Tuttle birthday party. They are good buds.

This Photo was Taken by Gina Tuttle, and it looks a lot better, but the scanner didnt do that great of a job.

So I was doing a little of my weekly blog stocking (so ya, if youve looked at our site we've probably looked at yours) and came across this office clip that covers everything that everyone has been up to this summer. Check it out.
